Here is my news for the month of May 2019. It has been a quiet month, but I still have a bit of news to share!
I have managed to lose 9.5lbs this month so I am really pleased. My goal for the month was to lose 6lbs or more. I didn’t weigh in last week as my training and assessment clashed with my weight watcher meeting. Losing weight is never easy (in my experience anyway!) but I definitely think that this is the best weight watchers program I have ever done. The focus is based much more on creating healthy habits and fits in so well with the rest of the family.
I am hoping to lose another 4lbs this month. I am trying to set small goals so that I do not get myself stressed out by expecting too much as I really need to stick to this and get my weigh down.
Most of the month was taken up with my training for my customer service job with arise for Npower. The training was 12noon – 8 pm so it was quite hard going as there was so much information to learn and then on top of that I home school FJ and also try to keep the blog updated. On May 30th I passed my training and assessment so I am now working from home which fits in nicely with my other commitments. It is hard work though as the training was intense with no dummy system to work on, so now I’m taking live calls I am finding it really difficult. The rest of my training group are also feeling the same and we are somehow all managing to struggle along.
I am not sure if I will keep doing this for long as it is so stressful but I think I owe it to myself to keep with it for at least until the end of this month. I am hoping that it will get easier, the more I do it and that I will learn more processes as I go.
CJ 20th birthday
On May 30th it was also CJ’s 20th birthday. It is crazy how fast time flies by and as you can see in the photos, she is blooming. We went out for a nice meal and my dad came down from London, so it was a nice celebration. The poor girl is not having an easy pregnancy, she has been so unwell with countless visits to the hospital and she still has another two months to go!
That is my main news for the month of May. Apart from that, we have just been enjoying the warmer weather, learning about creatures in our oceans and getting on with the normal day to day chores that life brings.
One of my May goals was to finish planning my new podcast, unfortunately, I have completely failed at this goal as I have been so busy. I have decided to put it hold for the moment and I will let you know when I get the time to start working on it again.
Goals for June
- Lose at least 4lbs
- Plan a baby shower for CJ
- Stick with arise and then reassess at the end of the month.
- Remember to take some time out for myself as I can get carried away with things and forget to look after myself.
