In May 2021 we took a visit to Marsh farm on our way back from our holiday. In this post, I look at what is available and what we thought in this Marsh farm review.
Where and what is Marsh Farm?
Marsh Farm is a family attraction located in Essex. If you use satnav, the postcode is CM3 5WP. Adults without a child under 12 with them are not permitted to enter. When we attended it was a weekday during term time as we home school. Tickets for age 2 and over are between £8.99 and £12.99 depending on when you go. You can check ticket prices here.
What do they have?
So of course with it being a farm there are lots of animals which is lovely. However, there is also a lot more. It was much larger than I anticipated and there is plenty to do for the whole day. There are funfair rides and a train. Bouncy castles and slides. There is also a really large outside play area and an inside play area but we didn’t see that as it was closed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
They have bright wooden houses and an area with ride-on cars that parents can put their little ones on. There is also a mini-golf course as well!

What we thought of our day at Marsh Farm
We had a fantastic time at Marsh Farm. It was beautifully decorated and very clean and well maintained. In terms of the number of things to do, I feel that the entrance price is fair. It is far more than just a farm. The staff were all very friendly and polite.
On our visit, there was myself and my husband, our 13-year-old daughter, 21-year-old daughter, and our 20-month-old grandson. There are lots of places to sit for a rest or to eat some food. You are allowed to take your own food and drink to the farm so you can bring a picnic with you.
The food and drink on site was in our opinion quite expensive but I guess that is something that depends on the individual’s opinions. For a regular slush puppy, it was £2.50 so if you are buying a drink for a number of members of your family it can easily add up.
All in all, we had a brilliant day out and would highly recommend others to visit. I hope you found this Marsh Farm review helpful, I would love to hear your thoughts.
