We are currently learning about the human body in our UK homeschool. I thought that I would share the activities and resources which we have found. Faith is 12 but these activities can easily be adapted to suit any age group. That is one of the many great things about homeschooling!

Activities

  • Draw a body and label the parts
  • Make a model of a lung (see video below)
  • Measure your lung capacity with balloons
  • Bake skeleton gingerbread men cookies (or ladies!)
  • Play some brain training games
  • Experiment with a body themed science kit
  • Bake brain cakes (walnuts look like brains!)

I didn’t make any notebook pages for this topic as we had lots of worksheets to use from Twinkl so it was not really needed. We are having a great time learning all about the heart, lungs, brain, bones and the digestive system.

I hope that you have found this information useful and if you need anymore inspiration then take a look at my Pinterest board. If you have any ideas which I have not included for a homeschool topic on the human body, then do please let me know, I always love to hear from you.
