As part of our topic based home school we have been doing a Harry potter themed study. I thought that I would share the list of items which I brain stormed when I was thinking of this topic, to help inspire you for your own home school.

Harry Potter Activities
There are so many ideas for Harry Potter inspired recipes on Pinterest that you are bound to find something that you like. I particularly liked these Sorting hat cupcakes as they are really simple but great fun for kids who want to see which house they are in!
These wands look like a lot or fun. I have seen them done with pencils too.
Any science experiments can be combined with Harry Potter and magic.
For Maths, I have found this great worksheet which you could use or you could make your own. The idea of using a shopping list for the maths is great.
Magic and Potter inspired poetry or an acoustic poem are great to get your child’s imagination flowing.
As J K Rowling made up so many new words when she created Harry Potter you and your child can try to come up with some new words and write a list of them with there meaning and how they should be pronounced.
There are a lot of word searches and crossword type worksheets available for free like these here.
Harry Potter has been released on most game consoles and they even have Harry Potter Lego games too.
