With Mothers day just around the corner I thought that I would share some gift ideas. These would be suitable for any occasion that you would like to treat your mum though, not just Mother’s day.
For the book loving mum.
A book subscription could be a good idea for a mum that loves to read and there are many different types on offer from uOpen so there is sure to be one that your mother would love. This is nice as it lasts a lot longer with a new box each month.
The ‘Dear Mum – from you to me’ is lovely for the sentimental mothers. They get to complete it and then give it back to you and you will have a lovely collection of memories and ideas from your mum to last you always.
I love these book inspired framed pictures from Bookishly. There are quite a few to choose from and it would be great for mums who are passionate about reading. I particularly like the one in the photograph from Alice in wonderland.
Another good choice for book loving mums is a new book which they have not read before. Pivotal (gifted) by Nikki Vallance is based on four seemingly unconnected women and the impact of a life changing decision. The story unfolds as the women look back at their lives and the choices that they have made with the help of a hypnotherapist. Brilliantly written, Pivortal is a finalist in the 2019/20 peoples book prize for best fiction.
For the food loving mother
Ladies who love spending time in the kitchen are sure to be happy with a stand for their recipe books or tablet to help them whip up all sorts of yummy delights. This cookbook stand from Amazon is available in both black and white.
A great idea for those who are passionate about cooking is a cooking class. Virgin have a range of different options across the county. If you get a class for two then you could even join your mum and enjoy quality time together while learning new skills.

A hamper can be a great choice for food loving mums and Hampers.com have an incredible range to choose from.
For the stationary addicted mum.
This Collins Blossom gift set was gifted to me for a planning your day post with no obligation to share in this guide. However, I think that it would make a fantastic mother’s day gift for mums that like to plan and make lists. It contains a notepad, a daily list pad, a weekly list pad and a magnetic list pad. Perfect for getting organised and super cute too.
I love Happy planning and if you have a creative mum who loves using planners to stay organised then an undated planner gift set would be a great gift as these sets have everything that you need to get started with the Happy Planner.
If you know that your mum likes to write letters then this beautiful letter writing set from Paperchase is sure to put a smile on her face. I love the vibrant colours.
This Mrs Hinch little book of lists is perfect for anyone that is a fan of Mrs Hinch or generally just a fan of making lists. Unfortunately it is not available to purchase until April 2020 but you could always preorder and then make a voucher for your mum saying that it will be arriving as soon as released.
For the glam yummy mummy.
What mum wouldn’t love to spend a day at a spa relaxing and replenishing her energy? Virgin have a good selection of offers at spas across the county and is well worth a look if your budget allows and you really want to treat you mum.
For the glamorous mother, you can not go wrong with her favourite designer perfume, even better if it is available in a gift set. If your mum does not have a favourite then why not treat her to a giftset with a selection of miniatures so she can see what she likes best.
I recently attended a bloggers event at my local body shop and I got to try the British rose body cream. It has a beautiful scent that any rose lover would enjoy. This gift set from the body shop would make a lovely present but they also have a great selection available in different ranges.
If your mum likes Pandora then this Pandora charm is such a perfect present for your mum. It is beautiful and really sweet. If charm bracelets are not your mums favourite then they have a great selection of other items in their mother’s day range too so it is well worth a look.
For the pet loving mother
If your mother is as crazy about her fur babies as I am, then she would be over the moon with this beautiful necklace from her little pooch.
This lamp from Dunelm is gorgeous and perfect for dachshund lovers. It is a unique item which I think would make a brilliant gift.
Cat lovers will love these fun cat themed socks. They are so cute!
Finally this cat drinking animal planter would be a great gift. It is also available in dog, frog and panda and each one contains a different plant.
