Game of Ham
This edition of Board Game Analysis is a little different to the normal games which we review as this is an adults only game. Game of Ham is a board game with similarities to cards against humanity, but it is taken to a whole new level with a board and multiply ways to play. It is 18+ and for 3-15+ players.

What’s in the box
- 810 cards!
- 4 board pieces
- 16 playing pieces
- 4 placeholders
- 1 rulebook
- 1 quickstart guide
Objective and game play
So the game comes with a quick start guide which we used to play the game. It shows you how to set up the board and you each pick a counter. There are four different coloured hams which you use to put corresponding cards on. Then you deal out ten cards to each player from the main pack.
The game starts with a player taking a card from the prompt card pile and reading it out to the rest of the players. Each player then looks at the cards in their hand and picks out the one that they think is the best, funniest answer. So, for example the prompt could say ‘Donald Trump gained his presidency by _____’. You want to put forward the card which you think best fills in the blank.
You make sure that the player who is reading the prompt does not know which card each player has given and then that player reads out the answers from the cards. They then pick the one that they think is the best. Whoever gave that card gets to move their counter on the gameboard.

Winning Game of Ham
To win the game you need to get to the end of the board and land on the finish space with a correct number of moves. Along the way there are coloured spaces which if you land on those you pick up a card in the corresponding colour. These can really help you as there are things such as being able to stop a player of your choice playing a round. Another great card to get is the one that lets you swap a set number of your cards for new ones.
Opinions
This game is so much fun and there are so many more layers to it which I can not wait to explore with alternative ways to play. It is only as rude as you make it as you decide which cards to play. Therefore, you could always hold on to some of the cards that you are not comfortable with. I played with my husband, my 22 year old daughter and her fiance and as I am quite laid back and open minded it did not bother me at all. I held on to two cards that I didn’t really want anyone to read out as I was playing with my daughter who easily gets embarrassed.
We had so much fun and I have not laughed so much ever! At the end of the game I asked everyone what they thought and they all agreed that it was fantastic.
