Welcome to another edition of Board Game Analysis! The regular blog feature where we take a look at the new or popular board or card games and test them out.

This time we are looking at Frozen Unicorns which is part of the Gamely family. The game is for 3+ players aged 6-106!

Objective and gameplay

To win frozen unicorns, you need to score 7 points before anyone else does. A player will ask for either an easy, medium, or hard card and then close their eyes. They do a countdown from five and then say ‘freeze’. Meanwhile, the other players look at the card depending on the level selected and then have to get into a frozen statue of the word on the card. This is much harder than it sounds!

The player then opens their eyes and guesses what the word on the card is by looking at the statues! If they guess correctly then they receive the points on the card. They then award a bonus point to the player they feel did the best statue for that round.

Always lovely to see support for charity

We absolutely loved it! It is super fun and a game that can be enjoyed by all ages, which is always a great thing when playing family games. Faith and Darren both wanted to keep playing again and again! As the game is compact it is also easy to take out with you so great for parties or sleepovers too. I can’t wait until we get to take this to one of our big family game nights, as it will be so much fun!
