Organising your holiday packing #AD

Holiday packing in two suitcases

Holiday Packing Going on holiday or for mini breaks are fabulous but packing my luggage is not so fabulous for me! I hate chucking everything into one case as you know that when you get to your destination and open your case, it will look like a bomb exploded in your suitcase. This is especially true for holidays which involve checking your suitcases into airports! Luggage organisers When I was kindly gifted a set of luggage organisers from Beautify I[Read more]

As part of The Big Mummy Blog Share this week I am featuring a fellow mummy blogger! Meet Anna Parker from Travel with Penelope and Parker. She is a mummy blogger from Winchester. American flags, Spanish flag, Pyramids, Venice canal and Icelandic northern lights

January is a great time of year to start thinking about your travel plans for the year ahead. Not only is it the start of the year, but it can also be a difficult time with the dark mornings and evenings and the cold weather. Planning or at least dreaming of fun holiday plans can really help to keep spirits high. So I thought that I would share my dream top ten list of holiday destinations for 2019. 1. A family day out at Chessington theme park

Chessington theme park and the zoo is a great family day out as there is so much to see and do, enough for more than a day, I wish that we had gone for two days.                    There are a good variety of rides which cater to younger children, all the way up to the brave thrill seekers! The park is divided into different themed areas and everything is very well signposted.[Read more]

H.Top Molinos Park – A Review

On June 14th 2018 we enjoyed our third stay in four years at Molinos Park. We absolutely love the hotel as it is such good value for money so I wanted to share it with everyone.                       The location. The hotel is located in Cap Salou which is in Costa Dorada, Spain. It is a small town next to Salou which is a larger more popular town for tourism. The[Read more]

Natural history museum

On a recent trip to London, we decided to visit the Natural History Museum as we had heard so many good things about it. However, I must say that although we did have a nice time we were not as impressed as we had thought that we would be.  It is very large and there is easily enough to see to last the day but unfortunately, most of the interactive parts were broken which was rather disappointing. FJ didn’t seem to[Read more]

A trip to Shreks Adventure London

When I first heard about this attraction opening in 2015 I knew that I wanted to take FJ there, as she is a huge Shrek fan. Three years later and we finally made it there! DJ, CJ, FJ and I recently spent a weekend in London so a trip to Shrek’s Adventure had to be included in our itinerary!  Shreks adventure is a ride and walk through attraction located on London’s South Bank amongst other well-known attractions, such as the London[Read more]

Our romantic weekend away without the kids

In September 2016 I managed to tick off number 31 from my 40 by 40 list, which was to go on a luxury romantic weekend away with DJ.            Groupon and similar websites are so useful for things like this when you are on a low budget. We chose September as that is the month of our wedding anniversary. Of course, the term luxury is subjective, as it means different things to different people, but we[Read more]

Our family holiday to sunny Salou!

In the car on the way to the airport! On June 25th 2016 I managed to check off another of my 40 by 40 goals which was to take a family holiday back to Salou.                   I and DJ first visited Salou in 2002 for our honeymoon and we just fell in love with the place! We took the older girls a few times over the years, but the last time we had visited[Read more]
